[ chang geng is twisting something in his fingers as he comes into the mansion from all the excitement of the day, and... pauses, as he watches her movements, brow twitching slightly as she touches her cheek with the napkin. ]
Hello, Miss Su. Feeling alright? [ he's used to observing the elusive gu yun, when it comes to health and well-being. he is Looking now. ] Especially after such an exciting day.
[ a... pause, of consideration, as he glances down at what he has in his hand. when he comes to a decision, he approaches, moving to join her where she's settled. ]
I have something that might help that, if you'd like. It should stay cold even when held, since it's simply a quality of the metal. [ but he does raise a brow. ] Though I have to ask what happened to make them disgruntled.
Are you sure...? I've treated worse injuries than this before - it should sort itself out quickly enough.
[there'll be some bruising, but it's nothing terribly serious.]
Ah, well... are you familiar with Buzen and... [she frowns. what was his name, even.] ...Garou, I believe it was? They had a fight, but Buzen brought it to my attention that Garou had broken ribs before they even began fighting, and asked me to help treat him. However, he wouldn't stay still, so I put him to sleep for a little while so we could administer treatment. He was quite cross with me for that, but he seemed to have an easier time moving around today, so it seems the treatment was effective.
Mm, it's fine. I've no question that you'll only use it for right now, and if it will help, then I would share it.
[ he settles in next to her, with a respectful space between, and offers her what he has - a pendant of sorts that might have been a dart knife, in a past life, its edges now as smooth as the surface. it's a kind of black iron, and cool to the touch, even though chang geng has clearly been holding it rather than wearing it. ]
I do know Master Buzen, but not Garou. That's... [ a frown of his own. ] From that, I take it he was more focused on the fact that you had to immobilize him than his treatment, and was repaying that instead of actually being grateful anyone saw to him.
[she smiles, taking the pendant carefully and bringing it up to her cheek. the metal is cool - cooler than the water, at least - and some of the tension goes out of her shoulders. that helps.
it probably won't prevent a bruise from forming entirely, but it'll help keep the swelling down for now.]
Yes, that did seem to be the case. He does have quite a temper. But... I do think he may have taken it easy on me; he was quite violent with Buzen while we were attempting to treat him.
Of course. If we can help each other, even for small things, we'll fair better I think.
[ better to at least manage the swelling, even if it won't stave off a bruise. though he's now filing away the fact there's someone that will refuse treatment, even to a violent extreme, so that's fun. ]
Small mercies, but I hope that Buzen's fairing well now that that's taken care of and this Garou doesn't cause more trouble. With those of us that arrived injured, I'd rather we avoid further, if we can help it - I've started a roll of bandages, but even with these powers we're still far from being equipped for worse.
[it is so reassuring to have someone like chang geng around. she smiles, settling in a bit more comfortably and adjusting the metal against her cheek as she considers the rest of what he's saying.]
I'm keeping an eye on Buzen's arm, since Garou bit him. It's taking frequent reminders for him to be easy on it, but I think I was able to get through to him a little earlier.

[she purses her lips, and brings the napkin that's been soaked in cool water away to reveal a mark on her cheek. she looks displeased.]
The newcomers were fine. This came from someone else who is rather disgruntled with me right now.

[she gestures at her face.]
He said this was to repay his debt.
